Here is a mix of Belgium’s 1988 dirty sound called "New Beat", this kind of slow new wave electro started in 1987 when some Belgian dj’s started pitching down new wave tracks like “Flesh” by A Split Second. This became a kind of Benelux avant garde version of the Southern US purple hip hop style, called Chopped and Screwed. Most of the tracks in this mix are from 1988, the golden years of the New Beat.

Il suffit d'en parler à une ou deux personnes et le mouvement fait son come back dans vos colonnes... paris n'est pas grand mais ce n'est pas une surprise, en revanche n'oubliez pas "le dormeur", sound of C, who killed JFK trance remix.
La Belgique c'est la suite de l'Allemagne, pas étonnant qu'on leur voue leur respect qu'on leur doit.

Pure coïncidence Romain, la new beat doit faire un come back, Divine Carole a toujours été fan il me semble...
il y a un an à peu près, il y avait un site qui s'appelait vulcanoid (et qui apparemment revient en ligne cf vulcanoid.fr) avec plein de mix sympa comme ça (mais bon, c'était surtout de la new wave pure et dure).

Bon alors là ça y est, je le tiens presque, c'est quoi ce morceau fabuleux ( à partir de 16'20") qui fait étrangement sonner follow you de Dj Hell comme une grosse reminiscence. help me please !!
